Their experience and feedback is very important and valuable, but can be limited. Hearing about the experiences of hundreds of dentists using a variety of competing products will give you a much broader perspective of how the products and services will work in your office.

A: Over 130 categories and sub-categories of dental equipment products, dental equipment distributors, dental office contractors and dental office designers. As a registered site user or member, you can post reviews on these products and service providers, and as a member, you can see the reviews. 

Q: I cannot find many reviews! Why not?

A: We are just getting started! Visitations to The Dentists' Voice are growing rapidly and the reviews of products and services are building. Take a minute and submit some reviews on your dental equipment products, local distributor and, if you built or remodeled your office recently, review your contractor and designer. It only takes a few minutes. Submitting reviews will help other dentists make informed decisions and will provide valuable and welcome feedback to manufacturers and service providers. Q: How do I use The Dentists’ Voice?

A: It's easy! Whenever you want to research and compare dental equipment products, distributors, office designers or contractors, simply go to the Find a Review tool on the left side of the home page.  You will find over 130 categories and sub categories of equipment products as well as listings of dental equipment distributors, contractors and designers in your area.

As a Premium Membership subscriber, you'll see ratings and reviews of equipment products and service providers who've done work for other members in your area. Once a purchase or service choice is made, circle back with The Dentists’ Voice to share your feedback on the product or service. Your feedback on any equipment product or service provider will become part of their rating on The Dentists’ Voice and extremely helpful to the other members as well as the dental equipment manufacturers and service providers.

Q: Is there a Subscription Membership Fee?

A:  Anyone visiting The Dentists' Voice can see dental equipment product information for free. The Basic Membership is also free and provides access to information on distributors, contractors and designers that serve the members area, and also allows submittal of reviews on products and services. There is a subscription fee for Premier Memberships, providing access to read reviews and receive Promotion Alerts. Premium Membership fees help ensure reliable data, and provide support among other things. Since The Dentists’ Voice is not supported through advertising, we don’t have obligations to product manufacturers and service providers that could impact credibility of content. You are our customer and we work hard to assure that the information that you receive at The Dentists’ Voice is accurate.

A: As a Premium Member , you will have access to product and services reviews, and can request and receive product promotion alerts for specific products. Simply being alerted to manufacturer’s promotions on products that you have an interest in can pay for your annual membership fee many times over! Q: What is the difference between a “Basic” and “Premier” Membership?

A: As a Premier Member, you will receive access to all of the features and benefits of The Dentists’ Voice, including being able to read reviews of dental equipment products, dental distributors, dental office designers and contractors. Q: How do I renew my Dentists’ Voice Premier Membership?

A: Monthly Payment Plan: Monthly Premier Membership dues are paid by credit card information on file. To ensure continuous service, payments are automatically processed each month on or about your anniversary date (which can be found on the Feature & Benefits page). If a payment initially fails to process, additional attempts will be made.

Annual Payment Plans: Annual Premier Membership dues may be paid by credit card or check. Q: How do dental equipment products, equipment distributors, dental office contractors and designers receive ratings on The Dentists’ Voice?

A:  A product or service provider rated on The Dentists’ Voice only after a dentist Subscription Member or Registered Member submits a review and rates their experience. Manufacturer’s and service providers cannot pay to have reviews done, nor are they allowed to submit reviews on themselves.

Q. Do you have to be a Premier Member to submit reviews on The Dentists’ Voice?

A: No, but you must register, becoming a Basic Member. Basic Membership is free. Only dentists and employees of dentists can be registered and submit a review. To see reviews, you must be a Premier Member. 

Q: Why do I have to be “registered” to submit a review?

A: We do not allow any reviews from anonymous sources. We will follow up on review postings to confirm the source so we need to have at least basic contact information for verification.   When we post the review for members to see, the screen name and the State or Province that the person posting the review resides in will be displayed as well.

Q: Why do I have to be “registered” to see a list of dental distributors, contractors and designers?

A: By registering and becoming a free Basic Membership subscriber, we can filter the list of distributors, contractors and designers to only the ones that service your area only.

Q: I see some equipment manufacturers listed as dental distributors. Why?

A: Some equipment manufacturers sell their products direct to dentists across the U.S. and/or Canada in addition to or in lieu of offering their products only through your local dental equipment distributor. In these situations they are both a manufacturer AND a distributor of their products. Consequently, they will appear in the Find a Review / Distributors list and on the Submit a Review / Distributors list.

Q. Does The Dentists’ Voice allow anonymous reviews?

A: The Dentists’ Voice does not allow anonymous reviews.  Each time a Subscription Member or Registered Member submits a report we remind them that their name and address may be shared upon request with the manufacturer or service provider they are reviewing.  We do this as part of our accountability process to maximize fairness and accuracy and to remind members that they will be held accountable for the accuracy of their report.

Q:  How do I submit a review?

A: There are two ways. 1) Using the “INFO & REVIEWS” tool on the home page, find the product or service provider you wish to review. You will see a “Write a Review” button on the listing. Selecting the "Write a Review" will be prompted through the review process.  2) Select the “Share Your Opinion” button on the home page banner. This will take you to a search tool to find the product or service provider. Simply follow the prompts to complete the process.

Q: How long does it take to complete a review?

A: It should not take more than 5 minutes! Depending the product or service, there are 7 to 9 objective questions to answer. We also offer an optional essay area where you can offer your thoughts on suggestions for improvements in the product or service. This is a great way to help other Members have a better understanding of your experience with the product or service and is invaluable feedback to manufacturers and service providers when working to improve their products and services.

Q: I want to write and submit a review on a product, but do not see the product listed on the “INFO & Reviews”  or "SHARE YOUR OPINION" tool. How can I write the review?

A: The products that are listed on the Dentists’ Voice are products that are currently available. Since products tend to be in production for lengthy period of time, even products purchased a number of years ago should be show on The Dentist’s Voice.  If you cannot find the product, there are two possible reasons:

1. The product is no longer in production.
2. The manufacturer has not submitted their product information to us yet.

If you cannot find the product using the "SHARE YOUR OPINION" tool, you can Select “Not Listed”, then complete and submit a review. We will investigate why the products is not listed and will respond to you promptly on the status of the product listing and review posting.

Q: I want to write and submit a review on a dental distributor, but do not see their company listed on the “INFO & REVIEWS” or "SHARE YOUR OPINION" tool. How can I write the review?

A: First of all, make sure that your Distributor and Service Provider radius is set correctly. This can be accessed through "My Voice" once you have logged in. If the radius is too small, your distributor may not be displayed. Not all distributors of dental equipment products are listed on The Dentists’ Voice. For example, it is not uncommon that an independent equipment service and repair company may be a distributor of only one product line, representing possibly only one category of product. While technically they are a “distributor” of dental equipment products, they are not listed because of the limited product offerings. They still may be a viable source for the few products that they offer, but due to the sheer numbers of service companies with limit product offerings, it is not practical for us to list them. If you do not find the distributor that you are looking for using the Submit a Review Tool and wish to write a review, you can Select “Not Listed”, then complete and submit a review.  We will investigate why the distributor is not listed and will respond to you promptly on the status of the distributor listing and review posting.

Q: I want to write and submit a review on a dental office contractor or designer, but do not see their company listed on your “INFO & REVIEWS” or "SHARE YOUR OPINION" tool. How can I write the review?

A: First of all, make sure that your Distributor and Service Provider radius is set correctly. This can be accessed through "My Voice" once you have logged in. If the radius is too small, the contractor or designer may not be displayed. Dental office contractors and office designers become listed on The Dentists’ Voice after being recommended to us by dentists and dental equipment distributors. The listing of contractors and designers will build with time. If you do not find the office designer or contractor that you are looking for in the Submit a Review Tool and wish to write a review, you can Select “Not Listed”, then complete and submit a review.  We will investigate why the company is not listed and will respond to you promptly on the status of the company listing and review posting.

Q: Will The Dentists’ Voice edit the reviews I submit?

A: The Dentists’ Voice does not edit reports posted by our members. We do review submissions to make sure that all reviews meet our guidelines before they're posted. If they don't, we'll go back to the person posting the review with questions and clarification before posting. Check out our Terms of Use for more information.  By checking reviews before they're visible to other Members, we're able to screen out any companies who may attempt to self-report, or people who are trying to report repeatedly on the same product or service.

Q: Does The Dentists’ Voice remove negative or critical reviews?

A: No! There are only two reasons we would remove any review:

1. We find out the review was fraudulently posted.
2. The Member who posted the report chooses to remove it.

We never, ever, remove a negative review for any other reason. The person posting a review can amend the review at any time so if their experience with the product or service changes, they can make appropriate changes in the original review. In addition, manufacturers and service providers can rebut and comment on a review.  For example, if a dentist experienced a problem with a product that the manufacturer has since become aware of and has resolved the issue in current production products, a comment to this effect on the review would be helpful for other members to know.

Q: What keeps us honest? How can I be confident in the reviews?

A: The reviews on The Dentists’ Voice come from real dentists like you! Product manufactures, office designers and contractors cannot pay to display reviews on The Dentists’ Voice , nor can they rate themselves. And they cannot remove their reviews from The Dentists’ Voice. Members submit reviews and provide and overall rating on the product or service they received on a 1 to 5 Star scale. Equipment products and service providers who are highly rated are sorted at the top of search results. Of course, you can always resort or filter the results based on your own personal criteria.

Q: How are products and service providers rated?

A: We ask 7 objective questions about your experience with a dental equipment product, including your opinion of an “Overall” rating of how the product met your expectations. We have a similar set of questions for reviews of Distributors, office designers and contractors. We tally the ratings and display an average of the results. The "Star" rating is a result of the numerical average, rounded to the nearest number (i.e. a 4.5 average results in a display of a Five Star rating, where a 4.4 average results in a Four Star ). The results are constantly updated as additional reviews are posted for the products and services. 

Q: How are products and service providers sorted?

A: When reviews have been posted for more than one product in a category and sub-category or for service providers in your area, the default sorting is by Favorable review. You also have options to sort the lists in alpha order
